Reviews for Jimmy Crikey's Adventures in PArallel Worlds

Review

Lovely book, which is actually part of a series. Initially, I thought it would be a great bedtime read for my kids, but I enjoyed it as well! Nice style and detailed description and a captivating story!

Jimmy Crikey's Adventures in Parallel Worlds is a great continue to the series. I love the characters and the author's ability to describe everything so vividly. I recommend the book!

Jimmy Crikey's Adventures in Parallel Worlds by Wallace E. Briggs is an incredible fantasy worth your time and money. I enjoyed the plot and the characters are great.

I haven't read the other books (I realized it was part of a series after I was on the 25% mark). But I will read them as well. Even though I didn't know the whole story Jimmy Crikey's Adventures in Parallel Worlds made perfect sense to me and I enjoyed it a lot.

This is a sweet book for children but I as an adult also liked it. The writing style is nice and the story is magical. I can recommend it to parents - it is a great bedtime read and I'm sure your kids will love it. After all, mine did.

A fantastic book for tweens. I offered this series to my 12 y.o. and she was hooked. She loved reading them till late at night (which is the downside, haha). I recommend it.

A great adventure for all ages. I've read the previous in the series and I can say that with each book it's getting more and more interesting.

Jimmy Crikey's series is incredible. A fantastic story that kept me glued to the page. There should be more children's books like this one. This is the way to teach our kids to love reading - with compelling novels like this one.

Jimmy Crikey's Adventures in Parallel Worlds by Wallace E. Briggs is part of The Adventures of Jimmy Crikey series. Planet Earth is under attack by an omnivorous worm: a strange alien species. The Earth’s four guardian witches cannot fight the worm and it's down to Jimmy and his friends on Attalia to rid the world of the threat. Jimmy has no parents but he does have a lot of friends. An apprentice witch called Jade stows away on Jimmy’s spaceship but they are attacked on their journey by worms. A rescue team takes them to Attalia where President Alpha instructs teams to find a solution to the threat. It’s Jimmy’s job to deliver that solution, no matter what the aliens throw in his way. When Jade becomes infected by the aliens, Jimmy and his team must save her. If not, her special skills cannot be used to fight the aliens and eliminate them forever. Can Jimmy deliver or is it too late?

Jimmy Crikey's Adventures in Parallel Worlds by Wallace E. Briggs is a highly creative, exciting story for kids that I’m sure plenty of adults will enjoy too, albeit secretly! Written in a fun way, it’s a descriptive tale that places you squarely in Jimmy’s world as you follow his adventures to save Jade and the planet from alien destruction. It is a well-paced story, easy for anyone to follow with some wonderful (and sometimes weird) characters. It’s clear the author has a very vivid imagination. It is part of a series and, although I haven’t read the others, I would recommend reading the entire series in order. Great story and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

Jimmy Crikey's Adventures in Parallel Worlds by Wallace E. Briggs is part of The Adventures of Jimmy Crikey series. Earth has been invaded by an alien species, called Wormz, that goes up against the guardians working to keep the planet safe. Jimmy develops a plan to retrieve help from Attalia by embarking on a trip through space. Along his journey, he discovers a stowaway – the witch-in-training Jade. The trip through space quickly veers off course when the alien worms attack them, only for them to be rescued by allies and taken to Attalia. Jimmy and Jade work alongside President Alpha, who assigns his scientists to seek a solution against the Wormz which may be the only chance the guardians have to save the planet. When a solution has been achieved, Jimmy has to make his way back to earth, but the journey back is just as dangerous as Jade's life soon hangs in the balance with the scientists scrambling to save her just as Jimmy needs her help the most.

Wallace E. Briggs delivers a story that blends humor with action moments that create a fitting next adventure in Jimmy's journey. Jimmy's life has become a series of adventures that take him between parallel worlds in a journey that has explored his own origins since discovering more about his family. Jimmy is an orphan that has found a place for himself in the Roombelow and has since learned more about himself as a hero. The aliens are immediately introduced as a threat after he fails to communicate with them about their intentions and gets attacked without provocation. This science fiction adventure weaves in elements that serve as a foray into the genre for young adult readers and broaden the world with an aesthetic of space, bringing the setting to life. Each character plays a role within the adventure to help Jimmy fight against the alien worms, such as the four witches that are an important part of the story. The kind heart and heroic spirit he possesses come from those that surround him during his adventures. In a humorous science fiction adventure, Jimmy Crikey's Adventures in Parallel Worlds has action-packed moments, space travel, and alien worms.

Jimmy Crikey kicks off another exploit with his Adventures in Parallel Worlds. This time, author Wallace Briggs pits Jimmy against a giant alien species of omnivorous worms that can bore into parallel dimensions as well as bore into their chasers. They have voracious appetites and bodies that regenerate, and laser beams are useless against them. Good thing that Jimmy has made friends in his past adventures. He seeks help from Attalia, his home planet in a different dimension. The apprentice witch, Jade, joins him on his quest, but the worms are on their trail and attack them. They are fortunate enough to be rescued. President Alpha of Attalia assembles his team of scientists to formulate a solution to the alien threat. As they gear up for a counter-strike, Jade becomes infected with a microorganism caused by microscopic Wormz that can subdivide into smaller versions and increase their numbers.

As usual, you can expect a high-octane adventure from Jimmy and his friends. Harry Potter may have bewitched both kids and adults, but Jimmy Crikey will enchant you on a different level with kid-friendly plots dealing with high levels of dangers. It has a charm that may well elevate this series into a classic. It takes seriously its intention to cater to the high imagination of young minds to show them what it's like to battle and overcome great evil. Wallace Briggs first entices us with character-building by introducing a unique young hero with outstanding features. Then, he proceeds to wow his audience with world-building by taking Jimmy into different settings where his big heart is needed. He is not placed into a situation just for the sake of having an adventure—there is always a deep reason for it. Jimmy Crikey's Adventures in Parallel Worlds is heartwarming and solid in its plot: a wonderful reading experience whether you are seven or seventy.
